I don't have a horse in this race, but I thought I'd just chime in for us "lurkers". This entire thread is one of the most surreal things I've ever read. Like Becket, or a Dali turned into text. <br /><br />To quote Kevin Henkes, " Wow. That was all he could say. Wow."<br /><br />Andrew

Very interesting story. As the father of two girls, both of whom I will eventually have to shell out immense amounts of money to send to college, I read this with very considerable interest. What the article didn't say was that women's rowing has benefitted greatly from the whole Title IX rules, req...

I suspect George is right- his extra weight is likely contributing to this problem, particularly if he has fairly large thighs and belly. Fortunately, regular rowing will be great for weight loss, and I suspect this problem will only improve over time. Keeping his legs apart for the first few months...

didn't get to start until december 8th, because of some foreign travel (no erg, no nothing) so it was pretty much straight 10K plus to finish it. got 200, 137m, and then took the next 4 days off to exercise outdoors again (kayak). i've got a 68 mile race coming up in early march, so time to get back...
