I just found this site: very good and funny: http://www.twrc.rowing.org.uk/movies/filmguide.htm The best part is "how to make a rowing movie" section.

The Best movie for totally inaccurate rowing is Oxford Blues. The best part is were Keven Bacon jumps into a single wearing jeans and a bomber jacket and wins an impromptu race. To make it even more improbable there is a shot of him doing up the oar locks out in the middle of the river. Total cheese...

When I started rowing in Highschool the first boat rowers all swore that peeing on your hands and letting it dry worked the best...I would try that. :P

WOW: great work Taffs! the CTC board is full of red up near the top!

I raced on Sunday under the Taff Attack Banner and came 2nd in my division with a time of 6:37.8 It was the first time on a model D for me and I have to say the machine felt very different. Between the new feel of the m...

Hey Rate35 I understand your beef. It does seem unfair that if they were not going to let you change the settings that all the machines were not set the same way. But...thats racing, stuff like that goes on all the time with on the water racing too. It certainly gives crews something to gripe about ...

The last Erg race I did was about 20 years ago and much has changed since then. I have never rowed a model D or used the PM3. I like my drag factor at about 140ish. So here are my questions

How do I set the DF before my race?

Does the PM3 show my position relative to the other...

Although I have not been on the water for some time, I would say I am a water rower with an erg problem. I rowed 8s and 4s and Pairs in Canada mostly but have competed in the US and Britain also. I am looking for a new club now after some time away from the water. The erg used to be the worst part a...

ARG! I wish I had come accross this thred a few months ago. I am racing on Feb 12, and I think I have spent too much time on the speed work. Xeno; this training plan is similar to the plans I did as a highschool rower in Canada.

I am returning to rowing after a very long break (10 yrs) a...
