Re: PM5 is here ...
Yes indeed very disappointed, got my retro fit PM5 last night, it turned up with v 15 on it, so first thing I did was download the C2 utility & update, but then it seems the latest update it did was v 15 anyway!. How do I get this V16 or beta ?...I need to connect it to my iphone, but clearly in v 1...

Re: Ergdata iPhone Lightning Cable Firmware Error
And don't get excited because once you have dug up your old connection & updated you will find it doesn't record the workouts anymore, just crashes out once you have finished...rubbish

Re: New Firmware for Ergdata cable wont install
Yep that's what mine does, so annoying, get it fixed concept2, half hearted software update. Got to the end & bang kicks me out of ergdata & doesn't record it . very very annoying
Getting fed up nowadays of software updates that seem to be more buggy than the previous versions. lazy testing clearly

Re: New Firmware for Ergdata cable wont install
Sussed it tonight actually, it's the lightnining connector that causes the problem, I put erg data on my iPad which has the old style connector on it ,plugged in the concept2 cable and it ran the software and successfully updated it Bit poor of concept 2 really as many may not have a phone or iPad w...

New Firmware for Ergdata cable wont install
So I plug my iphone 6 into my Rower via the iphone connection, open ergdata & it tells me that there is a new firmware 1.13 for the connection, my version it says is 1.11. Gives me an option to download it, tells me to disconnect from PM4 First, so I do that, then it says 'data transfer in progress'...

Re: Is a Concept 2 "good enough" ??
Well I jacked in my Gym membership couple of years ago. I have a road bike , a mountain bike & a stationery bike ( wattbike ). I am 50 years of age. Perfectly happy that I have a full workout with what I have. Not bothered about weights , I find at my age etc it is far more important to be cardio fi...

Re: Comparing Watts
Nope still have to differ, power on a bike is the force going through the crank, it does not matter if your going up hill/downhill etc, speed is irrelevant. Take it to its extreme, going down hill pedalling lightly will measure hardly any watts, despite the fact you are doing 40 mph, going up a stee...

Re: Comparing Watts
Ok thanks , but shouldn't equipment have a sort of standard measurement?...so a watt is a watt so to speak. I mean one horse power is one horse power no matter how its generated. Surely as far as cadence is concerned that's not an issue, as say doing something at 100 rpm at a lighter speed would sti...

Re: Comparing Watts
Ok....but watts as a measure or unit of power is surely the same thing, or is it not?...ie surely the calculation to come to the energy level use to generate a watt of power must be the same?
Can you expand on your answer as it has not really helped me understand anything about the differences?

Comparing Watts
Maybe a silly question but using watts as a measurement of power, are they the same ratio's whatever the discipline? I have an SRM power meter on my bike, and quite comfortably put out 250 watts on that for say a couple of hours, but yet my time for a half marathon on the rower of 1.23.10 was at an ...

Re: Rowing Muscle gain
I agree, bit odd that the tanita/garmin guides show this...just googling 'persons weight of bones' shows that 30 -40% of a persons mass is bone weight, wonder why they show this strange 4% number on the connect website ..very odd. My bone mass has remained constant over all the measurements I have t...

Re: Rowing Muscle gain
That's not what the Garmin weight breakdown says ...see pic, bone mass is a lot less than 20% according to them, works out at 4% 8.1lbs on 209plus bodyweight, must admit this does seems low. To be honest I do not take the measurements to seriously, but its good to see the movement with previous readin...
