Gotcha, Kris. Yes, Ken is killing it! Go get him!

Thanks all :D

I just plan how far I want to row and pace myself for that. I know I can't row 25k at the same pace I would for a 2k, so I just keep it as a slower steady pace.

I can hardly wait for my rower to get here so I can row at home, I probably will row even more then =])

But given I am retired, I do not have much to do other than the things I have to do ( aka chores) and the thing I love , which is rowing!

Who remembers those Mervyn's commercials with the Lady standing at the door, body close, forehead leaning on glass, hands on glass with fingers tapping as she chanted "Open Open Open"? That is me waiting on my email saying my rower has shipped.... LOL

I suppose Darlene has the advantage of a home rower already... Next challenge maybe I can keep up with her ;)

(after my second row today, I see I am in second. I think I would have to row non-stop from here-on-in til the end of the challenge to catch Darlene! LOL)

LOL I am trying to sneak up on Darlene... ;) less than 30k to pass her now) but I am sure she will have rowed 100k by the end of today ;)

Way to row team! When you compare us to the larger number of members teams, we are doing great in this challenge!

Well, I am sure this is my 5 seconds of glory but I did it for the team! I might still get one more row in before I hit the hay, or probably just pass out from exhaustion LOL

If I had not worn a "bad" shirt our first day of the challenge and had to take it easy due to second degree friction burns, AND if Darlene and Al had not written me, who knows where i would be in the standings as the burns were an ah-shitake-mushrooms but Darlene and Al writing me pushed me to wrap em up and push through it all. I hope we can get up in the top 5 before this is all over.
